Brass · Keys · Strings · Production
From the bell of a trumpet to the depths of Omnisphere.
The Arsenal
Four primary instruments form the core of the creative toolkit — two from the brass family, one from keys, one from strings. Each brings a different voice to the compositional process.
The Process
Ideas live on piano and guitar first. Nothing gets near Ableton until it's earned its place — the acoustic filter keeps only the best ideas alive.
Production Stack
Ableton Live is the DAW of choice. Omnisphere sits waiting in the wings — the gateway to orchestral territory.
The Next Chapter
Orchestral composition for D&D — cinematic ambience, tension cues, and theme music for a homebrew Issylra campaign. The trigger hasn't been pulled yet. But it will be.
Philosophy
Organic First
Every idea starts unplugged. Piano and guitar are the sketchbook — low friction, immediate feedback, no menus to navigate.
Exploratory
The process is loose by design. Many ideas get tried. Most get discarded. The ones that survive earn their spot in the DAW.
Cinematic Ambition
The brass background gives orchestral writing a natural home. The dream is music that makes a D&D table feel like they're inside a film score.
Songwriter's Mind
Lyrics and melody come from the same instinct as storytelling — both are trying to make someone feel something specific at a specific moment.
